Apple Pie Milkshake

Creamy vanilla ice cream blended with chilled apple pie filling, then topped with whipped cream, caramel, and crushed graham crackers. It tastes like a slice of apple pie in a glass.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Chill Time 1 hour
Servings: 4
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 20 oz can apple pie filling
  • 1 1/2 quarts vanilla ice cream
Optional Toppings
  • whipped cream
  • crushed graham crackers
  • caramel syrup or caramel sauce optional, for blending and drizzling

Method

  1. Chill the can of apple pie filling in the refrigerator for 1 hour before blending.
  2. Let the vanilla ice cream sit at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes, until slightly softened.
  3. Add the chilled apple pie filling and softened ice cream to a blender. Add a drizzle of caramel syrup if desired. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the milkshake into glasses.
  5. Top with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, and crushed graham crackers. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a thicker shake, use less softening time. For a thinner shake, add a splash of milk.
  • Pulse the blender instead of running it continuously if you want visible apple chunks.
  • Rim the glasses with caramel and crushed graham crackers for a prettier presentation.
  • Best served right away. Leftovers can be frozen, then re-blended.
